Support Meetings
The first hour (from 7.30pm) is for our support time only, followed by announcements and then a speaker if relevant.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN VENUE FROM LES COTILS TO ST MARTINS COMMUNITY CENTRE. PLEASE NOTE ALSO THAT MEETINGS WILL NOW REVERT BACK TO THE FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH. The meetings are informal and we hope to provide a safe and friendly environment where any women of any age or at any stage of their treatment or recovery can come and find support with other women. The aims of these meetings are:-
- To support each other through sharing and listening, particularly those newly diagnosed or those with secondary cancers.
- To gain information about breast cancer and relevant topics.
- To share contact information.
- To invite speakers on related health topics and complimentary therapies.
- To have open meetings with no agenda to enable the opportunity to talk or just to listen for the entire evening.
- To have access to a fully qualified breast care nurse outside the surgery environment.

Tuesday - January 9th
This is the first support meeting of the new year. It is also the date for our AGM and we look forward to seeing you all there. Please note the new venue of Les Cotils.
Wednesday - February 6th
This is a support meeting and we welcome old and new members to attend. Our speaker will be Eugenie Heraty (Psychotherapist-Hypnotherapist). Her topic will be The Power of Compassion.
Tuesday - March 4th
This is a support meeting and we welcome old and new members to attend. Chocolatefest & "Guess the Baby". Please bring along a baby photo of yourself and give it to Anne Butler.
Tuesday - April 1st
This is a support meeting and we welcome old and new members to attend. The speaker will be Loretta Pitt, Sales Director from Amoena UK. Please come along and take the opportunity to view samples of swimwear and lingerie from this specialist company. Private sessions with Loretta will be held at the Breast Unit in the afternoon.
Tuesday - May 6th
This is a support meeting and we welcome old and new members to attend.
Tui Winstanley, who recently completed the Flora London Marathon and raised a staggering £2,548.70 in aid of the Pink Ladies, will be coming along to show us her medal and meet members.
Jo Allen will be giving a presentation on our new website and showing members how to find the information they need on the site as well as encouraging members to use the new forum.
Tuesday - June 3rd
This is a support meeting and we welcome old and new members to attend. The speaker will be Jane Wilburn - Osteoporosis nurse.
